Paving Design

Testimonials

"When we first bought our house it had a driveway and patio that needed serious attention. The Town & County Paving team not only helped design replacements but built them within budget and in extremley good time" - Mrs. Rhodes, Guildford

Random Slate

The random paving effect is achieved using slates of irregular size and shape – often varying a great deal from one slate to the other. Due to the style it’s possible to cover an area of 11m2 per tone which makes it very cost effective in terms of materials (depending on the type of slate being used).

Mortar is used to fill the spaces between the slate paving and can either match or contrast the colour of the slate as tastes dictate.

As the material usually used in random slate paving is excess material produced from other mining and masonry activity, the choice in colour is quite limited – however the natural stone look is always desirable.
